"Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be."
Abraham Lincoln
Isn't that a great quote? It’s easy to believe that happiness depends on success, relationships, or luck, but Lincoln’s words challenge that notion. They leave us with a powerful reminder that happiness is largely a choice - suggesting that our mindset plays the biggest role in our happiness, meaning that even in difficult times, we can choose to focus on gratitude, resilience, and hope. This perspective is empowering because it puts control back in our hands of:
If we make up our minds to be happy, we stop relying on things outside our control.
Which leads to the key word used in my (rem) Ember Text of The Week today:
MINDFUL

TODAY'S TEXT was about
Choosing thoughts that support our dreams and handling challenges with calm is the way to create a MINDFUL WEEK.
Each week is a fresh opportunity to move closer to your dream lifestyle, and the mindfulness to choose happiness is a key ingredient in that journey. The more you allow yourself to be happy, the greater your clarity becomes because you've now shifted your focus from scarcity to possibility, making it easier to recognize and pursue opportunities that help you get things done - like your dreams, helping those you care about, learning new things and more!
So as you move through this week, ask yourself:
How happy am I allowing myself to be?
Then, lean into that happiness, knowing it’s guiding you exactly where you’re meant to go.
Here’s how you can create mindful weeks that align with your dreams:
1. Start with Intention
2. Give Yourself Permission to Feel Good
3. Build Joyful Rituals Into Your Week
4. Reframe Challenges as Opportunities
5. Celebrate Small Wins
6. Surround Yourself with Positivity
#2 - Giving yourself permission to feel good is the one that resonates most with me.
#6 - Celebrating small wins - that's the one area I need to improve upon. Celebrating the results of all the hard work I do deserves to be celebrated - as does yours!
How about you? What stands out and why?
By allowing yourself to feel happy...
You’re not just changing your own life—you’re creating a ripple effect that uplifts everyone you touch. Others will see your happiness, inspiring them to believe in and pursue their own dreams and therefore, maybe without you realizing it, you've created a legacy of possibility for others!
So: What’s one way you can choose happiness today? 😊

Because there are so many ways you can intentionally choose it!
🎉 Start with Gratitude
Take a few moments to appreciate something—your journey, your dreams, your ability to create. Gratitude shifts your focus to abundance.
🎉Do Something That Brings Joy
Whether it’s working on your subscription box idea, brainstorming for Our Defining Dream Collection, or writing a heartfelt note to someone, prioritize what lights you up.
🎉 Connect with Someone Inspiring
Reach out to a mentor, friend, or loved one who embodies joy and success. Positive energy is contagious!
🎉 Celebrate Your Progress
Acknowledge a recent win—big or small. You’ve made bold moves toward your dream lifestyle. Recognizing that fuels more happiness.
🎉 Engage in a Fun, Creative Activity
Write, design, plan, or even send some snail mail! Creativity is a powerful way to express joy and invite more of it.
🎉 Move Your Body in a Way That Feels Good
A short walk, stretching, or dancing to your favorite song can instantly shift your energy and boost happiness.
🎉 Say “No” to What Drains You
Choosing happiness sometimes means setting boundaries. If something doesn’t align with your vision or energy, give yourself permission to step away.
🎉 Dream Bigger (Without Limits)
Let yourself visualize what’s possible without overanalyzing the “how.” Happiness thrives in the space of possibility.
🎉 Do Something Kind for Someone Else
Whether it’s sending an encouraging message or helping someone with their dream, giving creates a happiness loop.
No Matter What Happens Today...
You get to decide how you see it. Choose the perspective that feels best and watch how it increases your confidence and therefore ability to GET DREAMS DONE!
Happy Dreaming & Doing!
