That's what I often say since launching Ember Facilitation in 2024.
With a broad career spanning entrepreneurship, leadership, and creative ventures, Ember brings together my favourite parts of all the careers I’ve enjoyed for 20+ years under one roof, rolling them into a suite of highly accessible and engaging business growth and networking tools.

So, what's my background? Depends who you ask, as different pockets of people know me for different things!

Here I thrived at championing business growth and community development for new and established entrepreneurs alike and the accomplishments I'm most proud of during this time are:
- Expanding the Chamber to represent seven municipalities vs. just one when I began,, officially evolving it into a regional organization.

- Regional Agriculture Strategic Plan co-creation.
​
- Creating and launching the Killick Coast Food Hub as a way to offer an additional platform for producers to sell their food, therefore helping their businesses become more financially sustainable while making local food more accessible to the public.

My work includes a variety of ventures that built my business development skills and ability to create memorable experiences, most prominently being owning and operating:
- Get Eventive: An event management company ​where I worked both locally and Internationally
- Date Mail: A subscription box business; the first of its kind in Canada

FUN FAQS:
​
- The artist to first break me into the event promoter/tour management business was Juno and Grammy Award Winner, Dan Hill.
- The funniest person I've worked with (to-date) has been John Cleese of Monty Python fame.
- As the first person to have hosted speed dating events in Newfoundland & Labrador, I earned the name Love Diva, which I'm still called by many despite not hosting those events in approx. 15 years - proof of how good business branding can truly stick and evolve with you!

- I became one of the first Live Audio Describers in Newfoundland & Labrador which enhances theatre accessibility to the visually-impaired. (via Power Productions)

- I'm officially based out of two locations in Canada: St. John's, NL & Kimberley, BC

When I stand back to reflect on all roles I've taken on, the common thread standing out is my innate ability to connect people and bring fresh ideas to reality. As a result, I’m often dubbed an “Idea Person” with people always excited to see what I’ll do next, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
